Frequently Asked Questions

What do you specialize in?

We hand craft leather goods for everyday life!

What factors the cost of my purchase?

This REALLY depends on several factors:
The amount of leather needed-
Some projects only take a few square inches. While others  take several square feet and require multiple hides to complete.

LEATHER WEIGHT(thickness)-
Some projects require a thicker piece of leather(i.e. belts, vs purses & bags.

COLOR-
Some leathers are Mineral tanned(commonly called Chrome tanned) and are amazing! But some projects require VEG-Tan leather that requires the leather to be hand dyed and sealed(which adds more labor). Both types are great but some products need top be a certain way in order for you to get what you see on our website.

CUSTOMIZATION(zipper/drawstring placement/lining)-
Most of are bags are absolutely wonderful just the way they are(Bruno Mars Reference there). But sometimes people just need it to be tweaked for their everyday life. Re-orientating a zipper from vertical to horizontal isn’t a huge deal in most cases, but it takes time to get it right (the way you would like it to be). And adding a lining does add an additional degree of difficulty as most of the products are unlined. When adding a lining to a bag or jacket we are needing to create a replica of the bag (or jacket) to insert into your item

TOOLING & ENGRAVING(imagery embossed on to the leather)-
Leather tooling is a bit of an art(to create a 3D image on a 2D surface). That art has Several factors that have to be followed in order to get the desired look. In order to Tool leather it needs to be wet, all of the other process need to be done when the leather is dry. So while it may take 6 hours to tool your leather piece it takes over 24 hours for leather to dry properly to move on in the manufacturing of your item.
LASER ENGRAVING is a great way cost effective way to personalize an item. Though it does have some limitations it’s still a great option to go with(just send us what you are looking at and we can guide you on the best course of action)

MOST OF ALL………TIME!
When I start on your purchase it starts with some paper, tape, and a razor blade. 99% of ALL of my products are handmade. This includes Cutting, Dying/sealing(if needed), Hand punching EVERY SINGLE stitch hole. Then hand sewing using a specific thread and 2 needles. Most of the time I am paying myself around 9/hr(definitely not minimum wage) to make these wonderful pieces for you, and I am ok with that currently.
All of these factors play into the cost of your leather good.

How long will it take to get my purchase?

Each item, bag, mask, etc. Has its own difficulty in construction. One bag takes 7 days to make. A backpack can take up to 4 weeks to hand sew. With some pieces taking up to a couple months.  But rest assured you will get it as soon as I complete it!

What type of warranty do you provide (on custom work)?

Almost all leather is extremely durable and won’t rip or tear. BUT life has sharp objects, and life does happen. If your leather good is cut or damaged contact me, and I can see if it is repairable. If any my work falls apart(broken stitching, grommets, etc). Send it back to me and I will repair it and send it back to you!
